Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Yes. The calculator asks only for your gender, birth date, overall health, smoking status, coverage amount, and term preference—those six inputs let carriers quote. Your name, full address and detailed health records only come up if you apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are each carrier's quoted rates based on your health class. The actual premium emerges after underwriting is done, which might keep your class the same, improve it or make it worse. What you see here is not an insurance offer or a rate promise.
What happens when I click Apply?
After you add your name, the application is constructed from the exact quote you chose and then transferred to the carrier's encrypted platform. You can pause whenever and resume later, and you'll sign everything electronically. Susman Insurance Agency (a licensed California insurance firm, License 0B75129) oversees the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, how much coverage you want, and what you said about your health. A few carriers with Immediate coverage can greenlight eligible applicants on the spot. The quote shows each carrier's stance on whether they'll want an exam, might want one, or won't.
Is a longer term better?
Choose based on when your financial obligations are biggest—your mortgage years, while kids are dependent, or as long as business debt exists. A longer term means a higher monthly bill but protects your rate for more years. The quotes show all five timeframes (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years) side-by-side for contrast.
Does this site sell my information?
Nope. The calculator never asks for your email, phone or name. We don't sell or share visitor information and we track page activity without cookies. Check the privacy page for what we collect and how it's managed.
